Mangō Taniwha | Great White Shark

The great white shark is an ocean predator found in New Zealand waters, particularly around important seal feeding grounds. Southern sightings are part of a much larger journey: satellite tags have tracked sharks from Stewart Island and the Chatham Islands into the tropical and subtropical Pacific. An animal encountered close to our coast may travel thousands of kilometres through the wider ocean.

Cool blue-grey washes define the shark’s back above a pale underside, while sweeping black marks follow the body’s upward curve. The open background keeps the powerful shape clear. Fine detail around the head contrasts with looser ink, giving the portrait both focus and movement.

Printed on 230gsm smooth matte archival-quality paper, with a smooth, non-glossy finish.

Pigment-based, UV-stable archival inks reproduce the colours and fine details of the original digital artwork. Each giclée print is produced in New Zealand.
