Paper print finishing
White border or no border?
Both options use the same overall paper size. A white border makes the artwork slightly smaller and creates breathing room around the image, giving a similar visual effect to a mat window.
Without a White Border
The artwork extends to the paper’s edges. Choose this for a fuller image area or your own framing treatment.
With a White Border
A balanced margin around the artwork. A popular choice when framing without a separate mat.
Illustrative border comparison using the same sample image and paper dimensions. Frames are shown for context.
Our printing partners close from 24 December and usually reopen around the second week of January. The reopening date varies each year. Orders remain open; orders affected by the closure will be produced after they reopen.

Caring for your paper print.
A few simple habits help protect the surface and archival quality of your giclée print.
Clean, Dry Hands
Handle your print with clean, dry hands to avoid transferring moisture or natural oils.
Hold the Edges
Use both hands and hold opposite edges. Avoid touching the printed image area.
Protect with a Frame
Frame your paper print under glass. UV-protective glazing provides added protection.
Avoid Direct Sunlight
Choose a display position out of direct sunlight to help prevent paper discolouration.
Our museum-quality frames offer glass that blocks up to 99% of damaging UV rays.
