Golden Light

A visible sunbeam marks light scattered towards your eyes by tiny particles or droplets; the beam would be invisible in perfectly clear air. Dark surroundings make that scattered light easier to see. In a forest, gaps in the canopy act like openings in a screen, turning an otherwise continuous field of sunlight into separate shafts.

Warm shafts of light fall between tall trunks and touch the ferns and stream below. The shaded trees keep their depth, letting small illuminated details carry the scene. Gold against green gives the woodland a fleeting warmth, as though a quiet clearing has just come into view.

Printed in New Zealand on 360gsm premium natural white matte cotton canvas. The canvas is acid-free and OBA-free, with a neutral-pH coating designed for water-based inks.

The canvas is stretched over kiln-dried New Zealand pine stretcher bars, giving the artwork depth and a finished shape for your wall.

Available in A4 (21 × 29.7cm), A3 (29.7 × 42cm), A2 (42 × 59.4cm), A1 (59.4 × 84.1cm) and A0 (84.1 × 118.8cm). The artwork’s orientation determines which side is the width.

• Mirror Edge: the edge of the image is reflected around the sides.
• Black: the sides are finished in black.
• None (Blank): the sides are left blank.

Your edge choice changes the sides of the canvas, allowing you to choose the finish that suits your space.

Display indoors, away from direct sunlight, damp areas and sources of heat. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid water, cleaning sprays or pressure on the printed surface.

Lift by the stretcher frame, taking care not to press or stretch the canvas.

Every canvas print funds a native tree through Trees That Count. Your planting-region selection is a preference; the final location depends on where support is needed.

Hiriwā also makes monthly contributions to Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, supporting native forest and wildlife conservation.
