Echoes of Stillness

Spring-fed rivers can begin with rain that fell decades earlier. At Blue Spring near Putāruru, water from the Mamaku Plateau can spend up to a century filtering underground before emerging into the Waihou River. It surfaces at around 11°C throughout the year, linking the river’s cool, clear flow to a much longer journey beneath the landscape.

A clear green river winds between fern-covered banks, recalling the tranquil, spring-fed waters of Te Waihou near Blue Spring. Reflections gather beneath the overhanging foliage, while gentle ripples suggest the current moving through the forest. Layered greens and sheltered light give the scene its depth and quiet sense of flow.

Printed in New Zealand on 360gsm premium natural white matte cotton canvas. The canvas is acid-free and OBA-free, with a neutral-pH coating designed for water-based inks.

The canvas is stretched over kiln-dried New Zealand pine stretcher bars, giving the artwork depth and a finished shape for your wall.

Available in A4 (21 × 29.7cm), A3 (29.7 × 42cm), A2 (42 × 59.4cm), A1 (59.4 × 84.1cm) and A0 (84.1 × 118.8cm). The artwork’s orientation determines which side is the width.

• Mirror Edge: the edge of the image is reflected around the sides.
• Black: the sides are finished in black.
• None (Blank): the sides are left blank.

Your edge choice changes the sides of the canvas, allowing you to choose the finish that suits your space.

Display indoors, away from direct sunlight, damp areas and sources of heat. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid water, cleaning sprays or pressure on the printed surface.

Lift by the stretcher frame, taking care not to press or stretch the canvas.
