The pīwakawaka (fantail) is a small, friendly bird of the bush and domestic gardens. Its distinctive fan-shaped tail allows it to maneuver energetically whilst hunting for insects. Although its lifespan is short with the oldest bird recorded only three years of age, the fantail survives through prolific and early breeding, usually raising two or more broods per season.
Designed to be reusable, each hanging calendar comes with a 270gsm black backing card, a 200gsm art print of your choosing, and a set of 6 kraft card inserts with the months of the upcoming calendar year printed on either side.
