Urgent Donations Needed

Winter Feed Emergency

At Hiriwā Digital Art, we’re deeply inspired by the compassion and dedication of Hayley Hubbard and her team at Lotus Lamb & Animal Sanctuary.

This season, we’re helping raise awareness for their Winter Feed Fundraiser — an urgent campaign to provide hay and essential feed for rescued animals.

To encourage support, we’re offering a few heartfelt prizes for donors who contribute to the GoFundMe page.

Details are below — but more than anything, every contribution helps Hayley feed and shelter the animals she’s saved.

The Fundraiser

Hi, I'm Dolly — I am the cutest sheep at Lotus Lamb & Animal Sanctuary (shhh, don't tell the others, but I really am the cutest of them all!) I have 163 sheep friends here at the Sanctuary, along with horses, pigs, chickens, turkeys, a donkey and even a cheeky alpaca! We have all been rescued from not-very-nice situations. You may notice I have no ears, thanks to some rather baaaaa-d dogs ... but the lovely Hayley at Lotus nursed me back to health, and now I am living my best life here at Lotus. All my animal friends and I will live out our days here, in peace and surrounded by love.

The Fundraiser

Unfortunately, the long, dry Spring and Summer may have been lovely for you humans, but it means we have had very little grass to eat! It also means Hayley has had to feed us all our winter hay already to keep our tummies full. Hayley says the price of hay has skyrocketed (whatever that means....) so she needs to ask lots of lovely people to help us out so we can have some yummy food for the winter. There are over 200 of us non-humans here at Lotus, so that's lots of mouths to feed.

The Fundraiser

Hayley says if we raise £10,500, that should see us through about 20 weeks, which will get us through the worst of the winter. She is good at maths, and says if 1050 people donated just £10, we would hit our target.

My hay-munching chums and I would like to ask you very very nicely to help us out — we do love hay, and we're sad to see that our pantry is empty. If you can help in ANY small way, we'd be so grateful and we'd give you a big sheepy hug if we could!

Desperate Plea for Help

This video contains Hayley’s own heartfelt plea — shared publicly on social media — explaining the dire situation the sanctuary now faces.

After months of battling drought and rising feed costs, and with a crucial land purchase unexpectedly falling through, Lotus Lamb & Animal Sanctuary is running out of options.

Hayley has devoted herself completely to the animals in her care, but this crisis is beyond what she can carry alone. Her message is emotional, honest, and deeply human — and we’ve chosen to share it here so you can understand, in her own words, the urgency of this appeal.

Every donation, share, or word of encouragement brings real relief to a sanctuary fighting to keep its animals safe, warm, and fed through winter.

How It Works

You can make a real difference by donating to the GoFundMe campaign to help Hayley purchase the hay and feed needed to sustain the sanctuary through winter.

As a gesture of gratitude, we’re holding a series of thank-you prize draws for those who contribute:

1) Every £10 donated through the GoFundMe page counts as one entry into the draw.

2) Whenever the fundraiser reaches another £1,000 milestone, one supporter will be selected at random to receive a prize.

3) Each winner can choose their prize — either a pet portrait gift voucher or a fine art print from our "Reverence" collection — with prizes shipped worldwide.

Entries are automatic for all donors, and participation is entirely optional — your contribution helps whether or not you choose to be included in the draw.

Each donation, no matter the size, helps ensure that Lotus Lamb & Animal Sanctuary’s rescued animals stay safe, warm, and well-fed through the winter months.

Winners can choose between an A4 or A3 pet portrait gift voucher.

Each portrait is based on a photograph and completed in either black-and-white or colour. Digital vouchers are valid from the date of issue and never expire.

Our pet portrait service is normally available only within New Zealand, however, we're offering our digital vouchers as prizes to raffle winners worldwide to encourage support of the Fundraiser.
